Why I Still Use Arc

Arc is a browser with a distinctive approach to tabs and workspaces. No other browser compares to Arc in terms of its beautiful interface and intuitive user experience.

The Browser Co. has ceased active development of Arc and now only continues to bump Chromium versions. As a result, a large number of community members have moved to other browsers, like Brave or Zen.

Unlike other users, I'm still using Arc. It's more of a deliberate decision. Although the developer no longer releases major updates, they at least keep Arc alive with minimal maintenance, which is enough for a mature browser. I don't need the fancy AI features or integrations that recent "state-of-the-art" browsers are offering. All I really need for my daily driver is stability, solid performance, and privacy protection.

I'll probably stay with Arc until it starts to visibly break.

Update (2026-08-29)

Sorry friends, I've been testing out Brave—which I used before Arc—and found that it holds up really well with the latest vertical tabs feature. I might just end up switching back.
